農林水産省（林野庁）の下部組織です。
国民の皆様に森林や林業に対する理解を深めていただくための展示室と、森林に親しんでいただくための木の実などを使ったクラフト体験室がある施設です。
This facility is under the Forestry Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
It has an exhibition room designed to help the public better understand the forests and forestry, as well a craft room using nuts and other materials. The idea is to give visitors a sense of familiarity with the forest.
おすすめポイント
一般の方ご利用のほか、幼稚園・保育所・特別支援学校（学級）、小人数の小学校などの教育機関等を対象としたクラフト体験（森林教室）を実施しています。（要事前予約）
In addition to being open to the public, this facility offers a craft experience (the "forest classroom") for educational institutions such as nursery schools, kindergartens, special needs schools (or grades), small classes of elementary school students, etc. (advance reservations required).

年末年始を除く月曜日～日曜日（水曜日定休）
10：00～12：00、13:00～16:00
ただし貸切日は利用できないことがあります。
