Birth of a Brighter Community
【発祥年】昭和24（1949）年
銀座の商店街有志が、戦災孤児等の将来を危惧し犯罪や非行のない明るいまちを目指して行った「銀座フェアー」が「社会を明るくする運動」のはじまりといわれています。
【Birth Year】1949
In 1949 merchants in the Ginza shopping district were concerned about war orphans. They joined hands to hold the Ginza Fair with an eye to curbing juvenile crime and delinquency. The effort blossomed into the present Shakai o Akarukusuru Undo (or Movement to Build a Brighter Community).
