旧甲州街道沿い約4.5キロメートル区間に点在する、関所梅林、天神梅林、湯の花梅林、するさし梅林、木下沢梅林、そして小仏川沿いの遊歩道梅林を中心に、約10,000本の紅白の梅が咲き誇ります。梅は、例年、2月下旬から3月中旬頃まで見頃です。

A 4.5-kilometers stretch of the Koshu Kaido is dotted with plum groves (Sekisho plum grove, Tenjin plum grove, Yunohana plum grove, Surusashi plum grove, Kogesawa plum grove, and the pedestrian pathway plum grove along the Kobotokegawa River, totaling some 10,000 white and red plums. The blossoms peak from around late February to mid-March.

おすすめポイント

毎年、３月中に「高尾梅郷梅まつり」が開催されており、梅の散策と併せて楽しむことができます。
また、高尾梅郷のひとつである木下沢梅林は、約1,400本もの紅梅・白梅の木がある梅の里です。梅まつりの時期に併せて特別開放を行っており、期間中には梅林の中を紅白の梅に囲まれながら散策でき、一面に咲き誇る紅白の梅をながめることができます。

The Takao Baigo Ume-matsuri Plum Blossom Festival is held annually through the month of March, which visitors can enjoy along with a walk through the blossoms.
The Kogesawa plum grove, one of Takao's plum tree areas, is home to some 1,400 red and white plum trees. Special public viewing times are allotted during the Festival, at which time visitors can walk among the white and red plum blossom trees, taking in a spectacular view of a virtual sea of white plums.
